Aelred Senna, OSB was born Johnnie Haynes Wade in Austin, Texas in 1963. Having grown up in Dallas, he entered Holy Trinity Seminary in 1984 as a seminarian for the Diocese of Dallas, studying at the University of Dallas. He left Holy Trinity in 1987, thinking about the possibility of a vocation to religious life rather than to the diocesan priesthood.(2011)
