Allen Tarlton began victimizing students beginning in the late 50s. In the 1970's he had at least three victims, performing oral sex or fondling all of his victims. In the 1980's, Tarlton masturbated in front of at least one victim, had oral sex with another, and licked the anus of yet another. In 1993, Abbot Jerome Theisen claimed that Fr. Otto Weber reported abuse by Fr. Allen Tarlton in 1979. Abbot Theisen sent Fr. Tarlton to St. Luke's Institute for therapy. Fr. Tarlton was allowed to resume teaching/prefect duties at the Prep School.   View All Posts related to Rev. He taught English at Saint John's Prep School, Saint John's University and Saint Augustine's College in Nassau, Bahamas. Father Allen served pastorally at St. Mark's Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, and as the abbey's guestmaster, oblate director, and secretary of the monastic chapter. Among his many interests and hobbies are reading, music, studying history of English monarchy, writing letters, movies, operas and African American history.
