Allegations of Abuse and/or Misconduct |
During the 1969-1970 school year, Fr. Bruce Wollmering molested a 14 year old Prep School student. Wollmering had inappropriate contact with at least three more students in the 70's and continued this behavior, despite his role as head of the St. John's University Psychology Department, until he was forced to resign in 2004 as part of an agreement made after a student accused Wollmering of sexual harassment in 2003. In 2001, Wollmering admitted that he was in love with one of his students. |
