{"id":4126,"date":"2011-06-09T15:03:27","date_gmt":"2011-06-09T22:03:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.behindthepinecurtain.com\/wordpress\/?p=4126"},"modified":"2011-06-09T23:49:20","modified_gmt":"2011-06-10T06:49:20","slug":"jeff-anderson-responds-to-st-john%e2%80%99s-abbot","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.behindthepinecurtain.com\/wordpress\/jeff-anderson-responds-to-st-john%e2%80%99s-abbot\/","title":{"rendered":"Jeff Anderson Responds to St. John\u2019s Abbot"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Having just read the statement [ <a title=\"Statement from Abbot John Klassen Regarding Timothy Kelly\" href=\"http:\/\/www.behindthepinecurtain.com\/wordpress\/?p=4109\">View<\/a> ]\u00a0 released today by Abbot John Klassen on behalf of the Abbey of Saint John\u2019s, I am alarmed and deeply sad.<\/p>\n<p><!--more-->Earlier this week, my office took legal action and made public, information concerning alleged sexual misconduct by Abbot Timothy Kelly against a New York man.  Contrary to Abbot Klassen\u2019s accusations in his statement, we did this only because Saint John\u2019s had already been made aware of the charges nearly six months ago and failed to investigate it, respond to it, or disclose it.  The fact is Abbot Klassen himself was the recipient of a letter dated December 15, 2010, from Richard Sipe informing him of serious and detailed allegations that Father Kelly had sexual relations with several boys at St. Anslem\u2019s church in the Bronx, New York.
