According to CNN<\/a>:<\/p>\n A cardinal at the center of an international scandal over alleged sexual abuse reversed course Sunday and apologized.<\/p>\n “I wish to take this opportunity to admit that there have been times that my sexual conduct has fallen below the standards expected of me as a priest, archbishop and cardinal,” Cardinal Keith O’Brien said in a statement.\u00a0[\u00a0View<\/a>\u00a0]\n Compare this course of action with that from six-time accused priest Father Dan Ward and Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville, Minnesota in a recent article by Jason Berry<\/a>:<\/p>\n St. John\u2019s Abbey responded to questions about Ward with a statement saying that he \u201chas not committed any act of sexual abuse of a minor or vulnerable adult. There is no known investigation of Father Daniel being conducted by any law enforcement, public agency or ecclesiastical body.\u201d [ View<\/a> ]\n Saint John’s Abbey lied to Jason Berry.<\/p>\n Father Dan Ward is<\/strong> currently under investigation. According to Fox 9 in Minneapolis\u00a0[ View<\/a> ]\u00a0he has been since October of 2012.<\/p>\n Father Dan Ward has been credibly accused<\/strong> of grooming at least one minor and abusing at least five vulnerable adults (including three students<\/a> and two young monks).<\/p>\n
