An investigation into<strong>\u00a0allegations of sexual misconduct by Father Dan Ward<\/strong>\u00a0[\u00a0<a title=\"Ward and Taylor Under Investigation\" href=\"http:\/\/www.behindthepinecurtain.com\/wordpress\/ward-and-taylor-under-investigation\/\">View<\/a>\u00a0]\u00a0commenced in October of 2012\u00a0prompting one advocacy group\u00a0to call for his resignation [\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.behindthepinecurtain.com\/wordpress\/road-to-recovery-ward-must-step-down\/\">View<\/a>\u00a0]\u00a0and had another group requesting that Saint John&#8217;s issue warnings [\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.snapnetwork.org\/fl_accused_priest_speaks_in_orlando\">View<\/a>\u00a0] and reach out to victims.]\n<p><!--more--><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">View on RCRI Web Site&#8230;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.trcri.org\/EDsearch.php\">Here<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Memo<br \/>\nS. Hertha Longo, CSA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After 14 years at LRCR and RCRI, Father Dan Ward, OSB, has announced that he is leaving the position of executive director effective December 31, 2013. Fr. Dan believes that now is the time to pass on the leadership of RCRI: the merger of LRCR and NATRI has successfully been completed, knowledgeable and dedicated staff members are in place to carry on the work of the organization, and a direction has been set for member services.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Dan also believes that it is time to slow down and take a sabbatical.<\/p>\n<p>We, the Board of Directors, are extremely grateful for the years of service and visionary leadership Fr. Dan has provided for RCRI.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Dan has been the creative force behind many new offerings and member services such as the monthly webinars and the leadership resource, Planning for the Future, currently in development. Fr. Dan has generously shared his gift of teaching as evidenced by the numerous excellent workshops and seminars he has presented at our annual conferences.<\/p>\n<p>Fr. Dan is always current on proposed changes in the legislative environment affecting religious institutes, and he has provided advocacy as well as sound counsel. In addition to his leadership role at RCRI, Fr. Dan has extended himself personally and professionally to assist many religious institutes with specific legal issues. Finally, Fr. Dan has always been able to bring a great perspective to some very challenging situations with his Irish wit and good humor.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us in blessing Fr.
