Father Timothy Backous, OSB, has been appointed Essentia Health\u2019s Vice President of Mission Integration and Benedictine Sponsorship.<\/p>\n
Father Tim will focus the majority of his time on the Catholic hospitals of the Twin Ports, but also will support and coordinate with Essentia\u2019s other Benedictine-sponsored facilities across the health system.<\/p>\n
Before joining Essentia, Father Tim served as headmaster of St. John\u2019s Preparatory School in Collegeville, Minn. He holds a doctorate in moral theology from Academia Alfonsiana in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n
Father Tim, who is originally from Aberdeen, S.D., entered the monastery in 1979 and was ordained in 1986.<\/p>\n
