On December 5, 2022, Michael L. Hahn, Br. Dennis Beach OSB, Abbot John Klassen OSB, and Jennifer Meyer – along with the individual who Abbot John Klassen described as having been victimized in 2017 by then Rev. Michael Hahn OSB – signed a settlement document for a claim brought forth by a former Saint John’s Abbey monk.
According to Abbot John Klassen, the victim “was innocent in all respects.”
The claim was reportedly brought against Hahn, the Order of Saint Benedict, Saint John’s Abbey, Saint John’s Preparatory School, Abbot John Klassen, Michael Hahn and Saint John’s University.
The monetary settlement provided to the alleged victim is confidential.
