Abbey Secretly Settled Complaint(s) Against Lay Faculty

Developing… According to Abbot John Klassen, St. John’s Abbey has settled at least one complaint against lay (non-clergy) staff members since 2002.

When pressed for an explanation as to why the Abbey, University never informed the public about lay faculty who have been credibly accused of misconduct, Abbot John Klassen stated, “I can’t answer the question.”

Abbot Klassen and the Abbey recently came under fire for providing false information in a May 18, 2010 statement posted on the Abbey web site regarding Fr. Francisco Schulte. [ View ]
