(BringMeTheNews.com) A frequent critic of sexual abuse at St. Johns Prep School in was kicked off the Collegeville campus as he attended his 30th graduation reunion.

The St Cloud Times  reports Patrick Marker is a 1983 alumnus and a sexual abuse survivor. Marker maintains a website(www.behindthepinecurtain.com) that is critical of St. John’s Abbey and its handling of clergy sex abuse. He had been invited by the school to attend the event.

Marker was ousted from the reunion on the private school grounds by a Stearns County Deputy as he ate lunch with fellow alumnus. The newspaper reports that the deputy told Marker that St. John’s Life Safety wanted him off campus. A report written by the deputy doesn’t indicate that Marker was disorderly or disruptive.

The school issued a two-sentence statement in response to the incident.

“St. John’s Prep responded to a history of hostility in asking an alumnus to leave our private event,” it read. “We felt it was in the best interests of our guests to ask this person to leave so that others could enjoy the reunion.”

Marker traveled from Washington state to attend the reunion. He said he would not have purchased a plane ticket if he had known that he was going to be kicked out.

Marker acknowledged that he has a strained relationship with St. John’s Prep, the abbey and the university and that he has been asked to leave campus before. However, there is no restraining order in place to bar Marker from the campus.
